Montreal, May 10, 2023 – The SAQ announces that the price adjustment on its products planned for May has been postponed to June 18th. 

Before implementing it, we hope to conclude the negotiations with our marine carriers, whose shipping costs exploded in 2021 due to the pandemic. The maritime shipping situation has stabilized in recent months and the freight costs for our goods are decreasing. In keeping with our public promise, we want any future decreases in our ocean freight costs to be reflected in the retail prices of our products, and that is what we are now working on. In a few weeks, we will have a clearer view of the situation. 

That said, we can already announce that the lower freight costs will help counter the increase in the prices paid to our suppliers, to our customers’ benefit.
